Bloomberg Money Fails to Defeat Milwaukee Pro-Gun Sheriff

Bloomberg Money Fails to Defeat Milwaukee Pro-Gun Sheriff

On August 12, Milwaukee County, Wisconsin residents went to the polls and handed pro-gun rights Sheriff David Clarke a victory.

Breitbart News reported former New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg had dumped $150,000 into the race in hopes of defeating "Clarke's conservative pro-gun policies."
This is quite similar to the outcome Bloomberg faced after pumping far more money--$350,000--into the 2013 Colorado recall elections in support of the state senators who heaved gun control onto the backs of Coloradans.

Bloomberg's money did not secure a victory and senators John Morse (D-Colo. Springs) and Angela Giron (D-Pueblo) were defeated.
The outcome was so bad for gun control proponents that Governor John Hickenlooper (D) asked Bloomberg not to get involved in the third recall effort, which ended with state senator Evie Hudak (D-Dist. 19) resigning.
However, Bloomberg was involved in Milwaukee County and Clarke won the race against police Lieutenant Chris Moews by a margin of 52 to 48 percent.
