Major Garrett Confronted Obama About His Lies

By
When CBS’ Major Garrett questioned Obama about his broken promises and lies, he nailed him to the wall.
The President was speaking at the White House about his health care law and healthcare.gov. He opened the monologue talking about the Philippines, then continued his rhetoric about getting his website fixed.
Garrett pressed POTUS about how the American people need “greater accountability” in regards to his promise “if you like your health care, you can keep it.”
“You said while the law was being debated, ‘If you like your plan, you can keep it,’” Garrett began. “You said after the law was implemented or signed, ‘If you liked your plan, you can keep it.’ Americans believed you, sir, when you said that to them over and over.”

Garrett continued confronting POTUS…
“Do you not believe, sir, the American people deserve a deeper, more transparent accountability from you as to why you said that over and over when your own statistics alerted your policy staff — and I presume you — to the fact that millions of Americans would, in fact, probably fall into the very gap you’re trying to administratively fix right now?” he asked, adding another question: “You were informed that [Healthcare.gov] was failing the most basic tests internally, and yet a decision was made to launch the web site on October 1st. Did you make that, and if so, do you not regret that?”
The President defended himself by saying that “he had not been informed directly” about the website’s glitches.
“Had I been informed, I wouldn’t be going out saying, boy, this is going to be great, you know?”
In addition, he said the website wasn’t going to be anything like Travelocity.com. (???)
“I’m accused of a lot of things, but I don’t think I’m stupid enough to go around saying this is going to be like shopping on Amazon or Travelocity a week before the website opens if I thought it wasn’t going to work,” he added.
That doesn’t make any sense!! He’s not answering Garrett’s questions. It’s all lies and more rhetoric. He just wants to save his own arse, and we are left without answers.
In regards to his “you can keep it” lies POTUS backpedaled by saying: “There is no doubt that the way I put that forward unequivocally ended up not being accurate. It was not because of my intention not to deliver on that commitment and that promise. We put a grandfather clause into the law, but it was insuffient.”
What was insufficient Mr. President? Your ability to cover up your lies?
I really like that Garrett came down on POTUS like this. It was priceless!
