Nancy Pelosi Hopes for Obama Executive Amnesty by Christmas

House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi affirmed at her press conference Thursday morning that the Democratic Caucus stood by President Obama’s decision to delay his executive action on immigration reform, adding that she was “confident” that he would act by the end of the year.

Pelosi said that she met with interested caucuses on the issue, and she asserted that Obama had “administrative discretion” on the timing of his decision.
“We want people who are concerned about this to be hopeful that by Thanksgiving or Christmas, there will be more security in their lives because of some discretion that the President will execute,” she stated.
